Me gusta su estilo, creo que lo que mas me gusta de sus peliculas es la musica, casi siempre a cargo del maestro Clint Mansell que opinan de este director que divide opiniones

I have seen Requium for a Dream, which I loved
The Fountain, I did not like to too much
and π was pretty good. so far, I see him as a good director who needs to show a little more work before I can make a concise opinion about him

A mi no me gusta en sí Darren Aronofsky, aunque sus peliculas sí estan superchingonas, todo simbolismo, guión echizante, y excelente calidad visual, yo creo que es un excelente director, enhorabuena y haber si continua deleitandonos con más peliculas, que nos demuestre sus limites...

I have seen requiem for a Dream and i loved it. So as Pi.
The Fountain I did not like, i think Darren was too pretensious trying to prove that he is a genious.
Lots of people say that he is a comtemporary genious. Thats one opinion that i dont share.
American contemporary genious is Pault Thomas Anderson. Actually i think it is one of the best American directors in the moment.

For me Darren Aronofski is one of the biggest contemporary directors alive.
I haven´t seen "Pi" yet (although i have a friend who says that it´s a little bit pretensious, but since it has a lot of influence, especially visually, by Shinya Tsukamoto, i gotta give it a shot), but for me "Requiem For a Dream" and "The Fountain", are basically two masterpieces.


I love especially his talent behind the camera, visually he´s stunning (he uses every effect possible in "Requiem for a Dream", jump-cuts, sequence shots, you name it), and he don´t use it just to be flashy, but to tell the story through the camera lenses (in spite of being only by character dialogue and behaviour), and that for me is awe-aspiring.
Also, i love the the stories and themes that he uses, and the way he tell us the stories.
I am truly looking forward to see what he is going to make of the movie "The Fighter" (with Matt Damon and Mark Whalberg), and see what trick he´s going to pull out of his hat this time.

Pretensious is Fountain...

I like Aronofsky but Pi (please, please!, don't say "pie") has a lot of flaws. I liked it anyways, but my favorite is Requiem for a Dream.

A mí me gusta Aronofsky pero Pi tiene muchas fallas. Me gustó sin embargo, pero mi favorita es Requiem por un sueño.

A mi me late muchisimo Aronofsky, Pi yo creo que es el simbolo de Aronofsky, The Fountain se me hizo un poco comercial pero wow, se siente la presencia de él la temática retorcida y medio fuera de la realidad.

Quiene una recomendacion al Estilo Aronofsky, Vean uan película llama PRIMER, el director dicen que es el Nuevo Aronofsky, veanla y me dicen. Saludos

I already saw "Primer" directed by Shane Carruth, and i didn´t like it at all.
I found it highly pretensious (what´s the excuse to use all that techcnical language and premise? TO say that they are better than others? Gimme a break), extremely boring, and above all extremely bad directed. The only good thing i have to say about the movie is that i liked the photography. A utter disappointment, and clearly a movie made only to win prizes on festivals (and it won, such as the grand prize at Sundance, among many others.)
